Times are tough for 13-year-old Christian Marks. His parents are getting divorced, and even more unsettling, his suicidal father claims to have been issued dire warnings from the afterlife from Christian's recently deceased grandmother. Wanting only to escape his troubled life, Christian takes to the nearby woods with his loyal pet, a headstrong beagle named Barney. But the forest proves no refuge when boy and dog stumble upon a murdered mountain biker, and soon find themselves hunted by a local legend who may be something more than human.

Fellsway was a 5 mile thickly wooded area outside neighboring unnamed New England townships, with trails leading to caves and other areas unknown. This brief horror alternative fiction story "Full Moon Over Fellsway" authored by Sebastian Bendix is so well crafted, it seemed the story could be partially based on an actual place or events.
Christian Marks seems angry and distressed about his parents pending divorce and recent sudden death of his beloved Grandmother. When his father shared news of a shocking encounter he feels he may have had briefly in the afterlife that carried a warning that Christian might be in danger. Later, Christian and his dog Barney retreated to the woods of the Fellsway, unusual things quickly started to happen. Were these real life like events, dreams, or did Christian step into another dimension?
The characters in the story are well developed, Christian had so many troubling conflicting emotions related to grief and total lack of respect for both parents, he may have been bordering on emotional collapse. In any case, this is a fast paced dynamic read! With thanks to the author for e-ARC for the purpose of review.
